Tell us a little about your Luxottica journey so far.
I started my journey at Luxottica 2 years ago as Retail Sales Director for LensCrafters, mainland China. Now I am the Senior Retail Sales Director for all retail brands including LensCrafters, Ray-Ban, Sunglass Hut and Oakley. And starting from this July, I also start to manage the mainland China’s Professional Service Team.
How is working at Luxottica different from other roles you’ve had previously?
Luxottica is always full of changes which I hadn’t experienced much before. Within my role I really have the opportunity to utilize and grow my problem solving skill and strategical thinking competence.
What advice would you offer young proffessionals looking to join your sales team?
People are the key. Understanding your customer and team needs and success will follow.
What is the most important lesson you have learned here so far?
Everything is possible. You always need to be ready and embrace change. In the last two years, I was able to grow from Sales Director in charge of one brand, to now 4 brands.
How does Luxottica support a work/life balance?
As Sales Head, the stress is always there as the targets never stop. My GM and HR Head always give me the opportunity to talk and share how I feel about the work and personal life. For example, whenever I need to take a short break with my family, they always support me. I have been given so many chances to grow my professional goals in the last 2 years. As my scope has enlarged, the opportunity to manage and deal with more complex multi-brand sales has increased.
What does respect at Luxottica mean?
Respect means trust. I am always trusted to offer the Leadership Team my opinions. And when it comes to a decision making, I am always being trusted to give advice and comments to my colleagues when they require help.
